"ARE YOU BEING SERVED? " - KILRUSH AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S lecture 30th May, 2017







Kilrush and District Historical Society's May lecture will be entitled "Are you being served? The rise and fall of domestic service in Kilrush, Co. Clare from 1881 to 1951" and will be given by the Society's chairperson Lisa O'Sullivan. The lecture takes place in the Teach Ceoil on Grace Street at 8p.m. on Tuesday 30 May.

Edward Gleeson... 
born near Six-Mile-Bridge in 1803.
...sailed from Calcutta on the Emerald Isle 1838
Died in 1870, buried in the cemetery of the Anglican Church, 
for which he laid the foundation stone in 1851.
